Robust humanoid robot
Valkyrie, a name drawn from Norse mythology, is designed to be a rugged, robust, and fully electric humanoid robot capable of operating in degraded or human-damaged environments. Building on the experience gained during the design of Robonaut 2, the JSC Valkyrie team designed and built this robot over a 15-month period, implementing enhanced electronics, actuators, and sensing capabilities from previous generations of JSC humanoid robots.
