KeelCrab Pro Professional Underwater Cleaning Robot for Yacht and Boat Maintenance
Find more information about the product below.
Keelcrab Pro is a professional underwater robot for the maintenance and inspection of yachts and pleasure boat hulls, accompanied by an option kit designed to meet the needs of professionals in the nautical sector.
Keelcrab Pro is the first of the new generation of underwater robots entirely designed and manufactured in Italy (100% made in Italy) to perform robotic hull cleaning, maintenance and inspection activities.

Perfect adhesion to the shell
Characterized by a plastic exoskeleton with neutral hydrostatic buoyancy, it maintains perfect adhesion to the hull thanks to a significant suction effect generated by a powerful marine pump motor, eliminating and sucking up algae or vegetation that usually forms on the living operation of boats during periods of mooring in enclosed waters.
The robot's movement is ensured by natural rubber or PVA brushes driven by tracks which allow easy maneuvering in all directions, on any surface and make the drone capable of overcoming obstacles.
High-resolution underwater camera
The high-resolution underwater camera allows the robot to be maneuvered using a wired remote control displaying the video feed on a 7-inch screen, tablet, or phone (optional) in high resolution.
The Keelcrab PRO 23 can also be equipped with the Diver Pack (optional, not included), a kit that allows you to use your crab in "manual control" mode during diving (freediving or ARA/ARO). It consists of two side handles and an IP69 switch to operate the traction motors (enabling or stopping the robot's movement and the relative drag effect of the diver within the hull).
Cleaning capacity
The robot is equipped with counter-rotating, padded disc brushes (15 mm excursion/adaptation to the surface) driven by a dedicated sealed motor with variable bristles (nylon and stainless steel) to ensure optimal cleaning performance, interchangeable according to abrasion requirements. These ANCCP-certified brushes do not remove antifouling paints, but rather extend their effectiveness and lifespan over time.
Constant removal of the first layer of vegetation
Numerous tests have shown that the constant removal of the first layer of vegetation (3/5 mm) leads to a drastic extension of the useful life of the antifouling (which returns to direct contact with the water), which results in a great slowing of the formation of "dog teeth" (barnacles) in the medium term, a reduction in fuel consumption (and related emissions) and the maintenance of optimal navigation performance (thanks to less friction of the hull on the water).
Bag filtration system
The robot is also equipped with a keelCrab bag filtration system featuring a variable micrometer nylon filter bag for collecting debris, algae, or vegetation resulting from the cleaning operation. This is essential to prevent vegetation from reattaching to the hull, especially in very still or stagnant water, or when the boat cannot return to service quickly (typically during winter cleaning operations).
The product warranty certificate is valid for 24 months (excluding consumables) or 500 hours of use.
