Find below the technical specifications of the Arduino CTC GO robot movement extension pack!

If you’ve taken your students through the CTC GO! – Core Module, the Motions Expansion Pack will build on what they’ve already learned about how to use technology as a tool and how to apply that knowledge in the real world. The Motions Expansion Pack challenges them to go deeper into computer science, robotics, design, and technology by introducing them to new and more complex programming concepts that develop their logical reasoning, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. Children will expand their STEAM knowledge and skills to learn about movement by adding mobility to hands-on, playful projects and transforming the motion provided by their motors. As an educator, you’ll still have all the educational support you need with webinars, videos, guides, and direct contact with an expert.

What does each module include?

TOOLBOX: All the movement-specific components and materials you need to build multiple guided experiments and projects in addition to the main module components.
SOFTWARE PLATFORM FOR TEACHERS & EDUCATORS with all the materials you need for each lesson, resources to help you prepare for the course, content tips, calendar suggestions for classroom management and links to the curriculum
STUDENT SOFTWARE PLATFORM with step-by-step instructions, assembly videos, and fun activities to help them get started with programming, electronics, robotics, and building fully functional interactive projects (teachers also have advance access to this platform so they can prepare and adapt their lesson plans)
TRAINING AND SUPPORT, including a welcome training webinar with an Arduino Education expert, training videos that explain the concepts in each lesson, shorter videos that expand on the lesson content, and direct email support from an education expert.

This expansion pack includes 14 learning sessions:

7x Guided Sessions: 4 guided activity lessons to learn how to start working with engines and 3x guided project building sessions to apply the knowledge learned
7x Self-Guided Project Building Sessions

During these sessions, students will develop and build their own projects.
The following seven self-guided project-building sessions give students the confidence they need to work both on their own and in collaboration with peers, strengthening their essential 21st-century skills.
As in the base module, the expansion pack includes content for teachers, teacher guides, and premium training and support with an Arduino Education expert.

How do I access the online content of my expansion pack?

Access to the online content of each expansion pack works the same way as the CTC GO! Core Module, meaning that there is a unique code per toolbox that will grant access to the module's specific content. The class will have access to the module they purchased in addition to all the content from all the modules they have already purchased.

Do I get an extra year with each module added?

Yes, each module of the CTC GO! program allows users to access the platform for one year, but each additional module will extend access by one more year. For example, if you have registered the CTC GO! Base Module and another CTC GO! Extension Module, you will have two years of access to the platform.

What are the minimum requirements for using CTC GO! in the classroom?

Schools that run the CTC GO! program must provide students with access to computers with Internet access (at least one computer per group) and the ability to download the required software, a dedicated room that can function as a workshop (or at least a room with tables), and shared accessories such as pens, scissors, tape, etc.

What is the mandatory introductory webinar?

The introductory webinar is an introduction to the program with an Arduino expert who will help you get started and guide you through setting up your product. It is not mandatory but we highly recommend attending as it is a great opportunity to ask questions about the CTC GO! program before going through the content.
